OVER 150
YEARS IN BUSINESS.
After migrating from Medina (Saudi
Arabia) via Iran, the founding
forefathers, who were Traders, settled in
the Punjab and spread to
the major trading centers of the Sub-continent,
conducting Trading,
Tanning and Exports of Hides and Skins.
Outside the Sub-continent, (during the early
1900) and until the end
of the 2nd World War, offices, branches,
representatives &
Correspondents, existed in Japan, Australia,
Singapore, Burma etc.;
in the East, & besides the Middle East,
offices and interests existed in
France, Germany, Switzerland, U. K., the
U. S. A. and the now CIS.
After Pakistan's independence in 1947, Mr.
F. D. Piracha (late),
father of the present CEO, moved the family
business to Lahore, and
was considered an authority on Trade &
Industry. He set-up from
scratch, one of the largest Tanning Units
in the East, which was not
only the first Corporate Company, but also
the first Industrial
venture on Pakistan's soil, pioneering the
E. I. Tanning system, in the
newly born Country.
Mr. F. D. Piracha was honorary Advisor
to the various Trade &
Industrial Panels, set-up by the Government
of Pakistan, and played
a vital role in the development and promotion
of Trade & Industry in
Pakistan, which at that time, was virtually
non-existent.
The present CEO, Mr. Imtiaz A. Piracha,
joined the family business,
in the early 1960's, under the able guidance
of his father and elder
brother Mr. M. Aslam Piracha, has
carried the name in the Trading
and Export of Textiles and Cotton/Textile
Wastes, Tanned Leather,
Hand knotted Woollen Carpets.
PAC owes
this to the trust and patronage of a large number of
customers & representatives, in the
importing countries.
Mr. Imtiaz Piracha has travelled widely
and has to his credit many
trade Delegations, Scholarships, Seminars
etc.; both nationally &
internationally. He is in the midst of writing
a Market Brief on "
COTTON/TEXTILE WASTES IN PAKISTAN ", for
the ITC & UNCTAD,
national and international Trade Promotional
Organizations & for the
benefit of Trade and Industry in general.
After their academics, two of Mr.
Imtiaz Piracha's sons Mr. Omer
and Mr. Farooq Piracha, have
joined the crew, to provide far better
services & supplies of PAC, and have
been assigned the desks to suit
their academic qualifications and to carry
the name to the next
millenniums, which can only be achieved
with the support of your
valued patrons.
Keeping in view the ever increasing demands
of our customers, a
separate section has been established for
Marketing of Cotton,
Blended, Open-end Yarns, and other Textiles
products specially
Garments where a fairly large number of
inquiries and orders are
handled.
We seek your continued trust and patronage
and look forward to the
honour of serving you.
